Estate Car Airport Transfer — More Boot Space, Same Fixed Price
Four passengers, three large suitcases, and all your cabin bags — without the upgrade to an MPV. Our estate car transfers cover every London airport with the same fixed price, meet & greet, and real-time flight tracking as our saloon service.
Travelling with more luggage than a standard saloon can comfortably carry? The estate car is the practical solution — the same 4-passenger capacity as a saloon but with a significantly larger boot that handles three full-sized checked suitcases without the need to fold seats or compromise on passenger comfort.
Whether you're heading to Heathrow with golf clubs, Gatwick after a family ski trip, or Stansted with oversized baggage after a long-haul arrival — our estate car airport transfers give you the space you need at a fixed price confirmed before you travel. Your driver meets you inside arrivals, tracks your flight in real time, and helps load and unload every bag.
Do You Need an Estate Car for Your Airport Transfer?
An estate car is the right choice when you have more luggage than a saloon can handle but don't need the extra seats of an MPV. Here's exactly when it makes sense.
An estate car is perfect if:
✅ You have 3 large checked suitcases — one more than a standard saloon
✅ You're travelling with a pushchair or pram that won't fit in a saloon boot
✅ You're carrying golf clubs, ski equipment, or sports bags
✅ You need a surfboard bag or oversized soft case
✅ You have 3–4 passengers plus significant luggage
✅ You want saloon comfort but with meaningful extra boot space
Consider a different vehicle if:
⚠️ You have 5 passengers — consider an MPV which seats one more
⚠️ You have 4+ large suitcases — consider an MPV with foldable rear seats
⚠️ You need a premium interior — consider our Executive car
⚠️ You're a group of 6–8 — our 8-Seater minibus fits everyone
Who Travels in Our Estate Car Taxis?
Unlike a saloon or MPV which suit almost any passenger, the estate car attracts a specific type of traveller. Here's who books it most:
-
⛳ Golfers
Golf clubs are the most common reason passengers upgrade from saloon to estate. A standard golf bag — even a travel case — typically won't fit in a saloon boot alongside suitcases. Our estate cars have sufficient length to accommodate most golf travel bags flat, alongside passenger luggage. Going to Heathrow for a golf trip to Portugal or Spain? The estate is your vehicle.
-
🎿 Skiers and Snowboarders
Ski bags, boot bags, and helmet cases add up quickly. A couple returning from a ski trip with two ski bags and two large suitcases will almost always need an estate rather than a saloon. We regularly cover Heathrow, Gatwick, and Stansted for ski season returns from Geneva, Innsbruck, and Chambéry.
-
👶 Families With Pushchairs
travel system pushchair — especially a full-size one with a separate carrycot — often won't fit in a saloon boot alongside suitcases. The estate's larger and longer boot resolves this without needing to upgrade to an MPV for 2–3 passengers.
-
🎒 Students Moving Between Cities
University students at the start and end of term often travel with the kind of luggage volume that overwhelms a saloon — two large cases, a holdall, a guitar, a box of books. The estate handles this comfortably for a single passenger or a couple.
-
📸 Photographers and Videographers
Camera equipment cases, tripod bags, and lighting kit add bulk without weight. Our estate cars handle photographic equipment safely for production crews heading to or from London airports.
-
🏄 Surfers and Outdoor Sports Enthusiasts
Surfboard bags in a wheeled travel case, wetsuit bags, and luggage fit comfortably in an estate where a saloon would struggle. Popular for Stansted and Gatwick departures to Portugal, the Canary Islands, and Morocco.

Our Estate Vehicles — Modern, Clean, Spacious
Every estate car in our fleet is less than 5 years old, fully licensed by Transport for London, and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and safety.
🚗 Boot Capacity
Our estate cars offer a significantly larger boot than standard saloons — comfortably fitting 3 full-sized checked suitcases (up to 90 x 75 x 43cm each) alongside cabin bags for all passengers. For oversized items such as golf bags, ski bags, or pushchairs, the rear seats can be partially folded to create additional length.
🧹 Cleanliness Standards
Each vehicle is deep cleaned between bookings. Non-smoking throughout. Upholstery and boot lining are maintained to the same standard as the passenger cabin — important when you're loading luggage directly into the vehicle.
🔒 Safety & Licensing
Every vehicle meets TfL private hire licensing requirements and carries comprehensive insurance. Estate cars are regularly inspected and serviced above the minimum legal requirement.
Popular estate models in our fleet: Volkswagen Passat Estate · Skoda Octavia Estate · Ford Mondeo Estate · Vauxhall Astra Estate
Specific models are subject to availability. All vehicles within the estate category meet the same luggage and passenger standard.
